Our quilt show is the 2nd Saturday in September at Baker College of Cadillac from 10:00 to 3:00. We have several vendors who will be selling quilting and sewing supplies and fabrics and demonstrations that can offer you tips whether you are a novice or an experienced quilter. If you don't quilt yet, come and see if it is something that you might be interested in! And of course, don't forget that you will see many beautiful quilted projects. We usually have a theme or special showing of projects completed by the members and a featured quilter for the year.

Entries from members have first priority, but you may submit an application if you are not a member. If you want more information on joining our guild, click here. If you are already a member and want to fill out a entry, please click here. If you are not a member and wish to submit an entry to the show, click here.

Quilted clothing and purses

As you can see from these pictures, quilting isn't just for bedding. From the original utilitarian need to make quilts for warmth to the current trends making quilting a true art form, we try to offer the viewer a chance to see it all at our show.

Some of these jackets and purses were made in classes that were offered by the guild. You will find any currently planned classes and any of the group patterns that we are working on this year or have worked on in the past listed on the Imaginings page.

The pictures above are all the Mystery Quilt from 2007 called "Not Just for Christmas". The 2008 Mystery Quilt "Ningaloo Blooming" is pictured below. As you can see, changing the fabric colors - and even the fabrics as one of these is made from flannel - and adding embellishments such as appliqued borders can truly change the appearance of a quilt. Instructions for these quilts can be found on our Mystery page. These quilts were made by guild members.

This year our featured quilter is Mary Ederer. Mary does beautiful piecing and applique work. You won't want to miss her display! Check out our previous featured quilters on our artist page.

Displays this year will include Miniature quilts, Birthday quilts and wearables including bags and totes, and of course, our Quilts for Kids project quilts will be on display. We also have several interesting demonstrations planned for you. There will be a "white elephant" booth, door prizes and a raffle quilt. Lunch will be available this year from Baby Bear Concessions (the Baker College provider).

We have five vendors this year. They are Julie Ann's Quilting and More , Patches and Petals, Crossroads Quilt Shop, The Knitter's Nest, and Hubel's Featherweights.

The 2010 show is on September 11th. Click here for a PDF poster of the show. For the flyer size, click here. We hope to see you there!
