Fat-Quarter Round Robin

Those who wanted to participate, put a fat-quarter in a paper bag and passed it around the group on a monthly basis. Six months later we got our own bag back with five more fat-quarters. You could add 1-1/2 more yards of fabric to it, but you had to use all of the received fat quarters to create your masterpiece. Unveiling of the finished results happened at the quilt show.

These are all Fat-Quarter Round Robin Quilts. As you can see, lots of possibilities here!

Challenge Quilts

For this one, we were all told how much fabric to buy of five different patterns. Then we were told how to cut all of the fabric. Once that was done, the instructions ended! We had to figure out how to get them back together. As you can see below, there were many interpretations.

These are both Challenge quilts. Other than the star theme, there isn't much about these two that is alike. Both were made by members of the Guild.

We will be doing another challenge, possibly for the 2011 show, on the Jennifer Chiaverini books and quilts. We have a book club which meets the second Wednesday of each month at 1:30 at Julie Ann's Quilt Shop in Cadillac.
